We host a number of company events throughout the year, some social, some a mix of business and pleasure. These include our Family BBQ and Christmas Party as well as our Group Annual and Mid-Term Updates, which combine communication and discussion of our Business Plans and Results, with a chance for everyone to get together and enjoy a meal and entertainment.

We also provide free hot and cold drinks at our Head Office and fresh fruit is available everyday to help you achieve your ‘5 portions a day’.

Helping Others

Since 2006 GB Group has been involved in raising money for a number of charitable organisations, the beneficiary is chosen by our employees and is therefore very close to peoples hearts and very well supported by staff, customers and suppliers. We have completed a GB Challenge since we started our fund raising initiative. It is always a physically enduring challenge that tests both body and mind. Our vision for the GB Challenge is to raise money for our chosen charity by maximising the effectiveness of our greatest asset, our people! We do this by inviting all employees to take part in the challenge. The event encourages all GB Group employees to work together as a team towards a common goal, whether that is being involved physically or in a very valuable supporting role.

Holidays

New Starters receive 23 days holiday a year, increasing to 26 days dependent upon length of service.

Sharesave Scheme

All employees are invited to join the scheme on its renewal date each year, enabling you to share in the success of GB Group. The scheme provides employees with the opportunity not only to take part in an extremely tax efficient savings scheme but also to acquire GB Group plc shares on preferential terms. You can save up to £250 a month.

Family Friendly Benefits

Depending on your employment grade, GB Group can provide certain enhanced benefits over and above statutory benefits, such as enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay. We also operate a childcare voucher scheme taking advantage of valuable tax concessions. We have a popular flexible working policy enabling working parents to achieve a good work-life balance.

Depending on your employment grade you may be offered membership of the Group Private Medical Insurance scheme, providing access to private medical treatment.

Depending on your employment grade you may be offered free permanent health insurance, a valuable benefit if you are unable to work as a result of long term illness.
