Companies rely on forms for just about everything. They rely on these forms to get information from their customers so that they may store it and use it at a later date for marketing and other communication purposes. While these forms are very helpful, it is a hassle and a money-waster to manually transfer the information from these forms into electronic data and so, data capture programs can be used to do this automatically. Data capture programs take the information from the form and put it into a computer, saving the company greatly in administration costs and efforts. However, the program is still only as good as the form and so there are ways that companies can maximize these forms to ensure that the data that is captured is accurate and efficient.

One of the main things companies need to take into consideration when creating the form is where certain fields are placed, especially the most important fields.
